Certified Reference Materials

Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) serve as Primary Standards as defined by ISO and are suitable for laboratories that require traceable quantitative standards. As defined by ISO 17034:2016, a CRM should report the certified concentration and corrected purity values, together with the associated measurement uncertainties. Cayman's CRMs are tested under ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and provide the metrological traceability and accuracy needed to perform quantitative measurements. CRMs are sold as quantitative solutions in sealed ampoules.

Reference Materials

Cayman's Reference Materials (RMs) are available in a variety of sizes providing a low cost, scalable and highly flexible option for analytical laboratories. A RM is fully characterized and property values are produced in accordance with ISO 17034:2016 and tested under the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited quality system, making it suitable for direct use by laboratories requiring qualitative standards.

Analytical Standards

Cayman's Standards for Forensic Analytics are accompanied by test documentation to demonstrate purity and identity characterization and are formulated in small quantities in pure solids or solution for use in analytical testing. They may be suitable for application in identification, analytical method validation and quantification. However, analytical methods that require quantification may require assessment of conformity or internal validation to meet laboratory specifications and accreditations. Most of our Reference Materials are initially produced as Analytical Standards to get the material ready for use quickly.
